Firm Membership
Firm Membership is available, per NAMA's By-Laws to:
Any person, including a sole proprietorship, partnership, association, for profit corporation or limited liability company, may be admitted as a Firm Member if:
- it is appropriately registered and in good standing with the Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”) and Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board (“MSRB”) as a municipal advisor (“Municipal Advisor”, as defined in Article IV, Section 4.2 below);
- its principal activity is to provide municipal advisory services to state and local governments and/or 501(c)(3) organizations;
- it is not associated with, or registered as, a broker, dealer or municipal securities dealer; and
- its municipal advisory activities are its primary business activities and it derives a significant portion of its business revenue from fees relating to its municipal advisory activities.
