NAMA's CIPMA Program
NAMA's Certified Independent Professional Municipal Advisor (CIPMA) Program is designed to help municipal advisors and professional staff display an elevated dedication to continuing education and ethics in their work for state and local governments, entities, and obligated persons. Individuals who are employed at NAMA Member Firms are eligible to become a CIPMA designees by meeting the program criteria (see links below).
The two key components of the Program are that the individual undertakes at least twelve hours of continuing education a year, and acknowledges that they will abide by their Firm's or NAMA's Code of Conduct and Ethics.
CIPMA designees will complete a form each year acknowledging that they meet the program's criteria and list the continuing education that they have undertaken the previous year. The program fee for the first year is $75, and ongoing years will be $50, per individual.
